Blonde 3/4
Today I worked on another portrait with a sepia pastel pencil and I can see a bit more improvement. What's the difference? This time I used a reference for my portrait. Sure somethings are off but what I have been focusing on is shading and having the highlights and shadows create the form of the face.
The challenge in this portrait is that I had to work with light colored hair. I always found light colored hair such as blonde to be hard to texturize. However a couple of lines can really distinguish hair. In this portrait I had to add a background shadow because of the light hair would blend to much into the paper color.
In the end all I have to do is keep pushing myself and focus on more the features of the face and how each one correlates with another.
